Kesta Taylor, RD, LD
Kesta is a Registered Dietitian who has worked at Rocky Mountain Diabetes and Osteoporosis Center since 2006. She began her education at Norwalk Community College in Norwalk Connecticut and finished up at Idaho State University where she received her Bachelor's degree in Dietetics. Kesta went on and completed a Dietetic internship through Utah State University.
Kesta has lived in Rigby for most of her life except for the two years she spent as a Nanny in Stamford, CT. Kesta is married and has two adopted children. Her family is the most important thing in her life and this is where she spends most of her time. Kesta's favorite things to do are scrapbooking, sewing, cooking, and participating in her church activities.
Kesta has had some personal experiences that helped her decide that she wanted to become a Registered Dietitian. When she was eight years old she herself was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. From that point on and through the difficult teenage years, Kesta wanted to improve the management of her own diabetes. She felt that she could impact others that had the same issues as her. Then in 1999, she was told that her Kidneys had failed and that she would need a Kidney transplant. After the transplant she strived for the goal of helping others with a common bond by furthering her education and becoming an educator at our clinic.
Kesta enjoys working with her patients and feels satisfied when patients return and they have been successful with the management of their diabetes. She thrives on seeing people return to a follow-up visit and they are smiling and feel good about the accomplishments they have made.
