Brittany grew up on a farm in Idaho Falls where she learned to work hard and then play hard. At the age of four, she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes and has had to learn how to eat a healthy diet from a very young age. Early in her life, she knew she wanted to help others who suffer from diabetes like her, learn how to improve their health.

In college, Brittany began her education by studying at Brigham Young University – Idaho where she earned her Associates of Science in dietetics. She continued her schooling at Idaho State University where she earned her Bachelors of Science degree, also in dietetics. While attending college, Brittany was also diagnosed with Celiac disease which heightened her resolve to prepare to teach others how to follow a healthy and/or gluten free diet. After graduation, Brittany earned her Licensed Dietitian and Registered Dietitian certifications.

Brittany originally began working at Rocky Mountain Diabetes in 2005. She has loved educating patients and families on how to improve their health. She finds it very rewarding to help others discover what foods they can eat and help them follow a healthy diet that is specifically designed for them. Brittany takes great joy in seeing patients return with much improved blood sugar control and feeling happier and healthier in their day-to-day activities.

In 2013, Brittany’s husband took work out of state so their family moved to Washington for two years and then to Oregon for another year and a half. When an opening in Idaho Falls opened up for her husband in Idaho Falls, they were thrilled to move their family back to Idaho Falls in 2017. From that time, she has been ecstatic to once again work with the patients of Rocky Mountain Diabetes.
