Dietetics
Ronda is a certified diabetes educator who has been with Rocky Mountain Diabetes Center since 2004. She is a graduate of Ricks College and Brigham Young University, where she earned bachelor’s degree in nutrition. She completed a dietetic internship in Portland, Oregon at the University of Oregon Hospitals and Clinics and is a registered dietitian.
Ronda counsels patients to help them manage diabetes for optimum wellness through diet, exercise, proper use of medication, blood-glucose monitoring, etc. She also teaches and assists patients the proper use and management of insulin pumps and continuous glucose monitoring devices. As a registered dietitian and a diabetes educator, Ronda is also able to counsel patients about nutritional management of conditions other than diabetes.
Rhonda treasures the long-term relationships she has with the patients she works with and enjoys helping them implement changes which improve the quality of their lives. She also loves taking opportunities to provide education to groups in the community about diabetes management and prevention.
Ronda was raised in Rigby, Idaho and has worked and lived in many parts of the United States including Oregon, Texas, Louisiana, Tennessee, North Carolina and New York.
She returned to southeastern Idaho in 2003 and has enjoyed the opportunity to be close to her family here, renew old acquaintances, and make many new ones.
Ronda has 7 children and 13 grandchildren. She enjoys spending time with her family and actively participating in her church and community.
Any time left over is likely spent in her garden.
