Office Visits

Appointments can be made Monday through Friday, between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm.; extended hours are also offered and vary according to need.

We strive to stay on time to limit the amount of time you are required to wait.  Due to the nature of endocrine issues, circumstances may arise where we may need to spend more time with a patient than planned.

Please know that this same standard of care is extended to you. Please be understanding if you have to wait.

You can help us stay on time by doing the following:

For each of your appointments, please bring insurance information and a list of your current medications, specifically any that are not prescribed by this office. For your new-patient visit, please also ensure that our office has a referral from your primary care physician (if applicable), and that we have copies of previous medical records.

Failure to comply with the above guidelines may require us to reschedule your appointment.

Missed Appointments

Missed appointments are a disservice to the providers as well as to other patients who are waiting for openings with us.

We monitor appointment no-shows.  Any patient who fails to arrive for a scheduled appointment without canceling the appointment is considered a “no-show.”

In addition, a patient is also considered a “no show” if he or she cancels or reschedules an appointment less than 24 hours before the appointment start.

Any patient with excessive no-shows will be placed on “standby only” status and will only be able to schedule appointments at the end of the day.

Appointment Reminders

We have an automated reminder system that will call and you and/or send you a text message in advance of an appointment. If the automated call fails, our staff will call you the day before your
appointment.

By default, automated calls are made in the evening hours. You can request our reception staff to have your automated reminder calls made in the morning or afternoon instead.

You can also provide a different number to call such as your mobile phone number.

Patients who are web-enabled will receive two e-mail reminders for appointments in addition to the phone calls. The e-mail reminders are sent 7 days and 1 day before each appointment.
