The Research Assistant will have several administrative and clinical support responsibilities for the clinical research processes of the Rocky Mountain Diabetes Center. Duties may include fielding telephone calls, processing and shipping lab specimens, filing, processing prior authorizations, tracking of study finances, organization of regulatory documents, and more. The position requires strong computer skills, flexibility, and excellent interpersonal skills. Experience in a healthcare or research environment helpful.
The Clinical Research Coordinator (CRC) coordinates and administers clinical trials under the direction of the Research Manager and the Principal Investigator following good clinical practice guidelines. The CRC works with study subjects and formulates, implements, and organizes research and managerial processes to ensure the successful operation of clinical trials. The CRC carries out various administrative tasks that involve analytical skills, good decision-making ability, and a sound knowledge of study-related practices. The position requires a medical background as well as strong clerical skills, and excellent interpersonal skills. CMA, LPN or similar credential is preferred. Experience in a healthcare or research environment is helpful.
