- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 26 oz jar spaghetti sauce (about 3 cups)
- 8 uncooked lasagna noodles
- 8 oz shredded mozzarella cheese (about 2 cups)
Pre-heat oven to 350°. Mix ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, and Italian seasoning in a bowl, and set aside. Spoon 1 C spaghetti sauce evenly over the bottom of a 13x9 baking pan. Top with 4 lasagna noodles. Spread 1 C of the cheese mixture over the noodles, using a spoon to make it even.
Sprinkle 1 C of the mozzarella cheese over the cheese mixture, and top with 1 C of spaghetti sauce. Top with the rest of the lasagna noodles, and then make another layer as before with the cheese mixture. Top this with the rest of the spaghetti sauce, ensuring you cover the entire thing. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.
Bake for 40-45 minutes or until the lasagna is hot in the center and the cheese is melted. Let lasagna set-up for 15 minutes. Yield: 8 servings.
